An award winning painting and decorating firm has recently relocated to new premises to accommodate the continued growth of the business.

R Davidson, which employs 82 full-time experienced members of staff, has moved into a larger office space at Brathens Business Park, based just outside of Banchory, which is double the size of it previous premises in the centre of the Deeside town.

The expansion is part of the 83-year-old firm’s on-going commitment to provide the highest quality of workmanship and customer service to its commercial and domestic client base.

The new eco-friendly 1700sq ft property includes a large open plan office area to accommodate the eight full time office-based staff, meeting rooms, and a canteen for employees, as well as ample parking for staff and clients.

Following the expansion, R Davidson, which specialises in delivering bespoke painting and decorating, ames taping and plastering services, has also recently brushed up the business image with a re-brand of the company, helping the firm to develop a stronger corporate identity within the North-easts construction industry.

Managing director of R Davidson, Trevor Mutch, said: “Our new premises in Banchory will allow us to further expand our services for the surrounding area, as well as in the city. Brathens Business Park is a relatively new development with top of range facilities and amenities, only a short drive from the centre of town. As the company was first launched in 1930, we felt the relocation was an ideal time to re-brand and update the company image.”

The painting and decorating firm, which is one of the North-east’s longest established home improvement contractors, was named the Best Trader Business (with 11+ employees) at local trades awards held in June. The firm has a wide range of private and commercial clients in Aberdeen and the North-east and has worked on some of Aberdeen’s most prestigious developments, including the renovation of the city’s Marischal College.
